Thanks to these conditions the soils were recharged in water after 3 years of harsh dryness. The budburst occured early in the middle of march. The spring was cool and rainy and we started to notice the first blossoms by May 13th. The weather was hot and dry during July, and we had a good water reserve which helped the vines grow correctly. The harvest started the 16th of august and ended the 10th of september.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”GROWING” font_container=”tag:h1|font_size:17|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1511358564309{margin-bottom: 10px !important;}” el_class=”font-bold”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1546088048048{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”]

The vineyards are worked by hand, using natural animal fertilizers. We do not use any chemical weed killers. Buds are trimmed and a green harvest is practice to purposefully limit yields. A part of the vineyard is plowed with horses.
